Need a hand to build your creative business?

Helen Bottrill picWe are delighted to have the very talented Helen Botrill with us at Outlaw Bristol on Saturday 2nd May. She’ll be talking about the importance of building a creative network around you to ensure your business flourishes.  Perfect for those wanting to setup a new business or those already in the thick of it!

Having taken a break from textile designing Helen set up a business to support and advise small creative businesses.

Using all her first hand experience built up over the last 7 years she now passes that knowledge onto others. Running workshops and networking meetings on subjects such as photographing your product, PR & marketing, selling online and using digital in your business, she teaches all those running a creative business how to flourish.

Helen believes it is fundamentally important to surround yourself with like-minded people, both online and offline, and will be talking about the best way to do this. Support and guidance from others are essential when working by yourself in a creative industry to develop your confidence and knowledge.

Be sure to come to the Demo Theatre at 3.45pm to hear Helen talk about what she does and how she can help.

Free Interior Design Consultations at Outlaw

We are hugely excited to have our very own interior designer at Outlaw in Bristol for the whole weekend. Zoe (Zoe Hewitt Interiors) is a talented designer who works not only with individual clients but also owners of independent shops and cafés to help them achieve their desired look. She is also a passionate upcycler who transforms sad and forgotten items into cool, modern pieces to love all over again.

Zoe+Hewett+Interiors+Mid+Century+SchemeZoe’s most frequently asked questions are ‘where do I start?’ or ‘which colour shall I use?’ and she is used to clients feeling indecisive or overwhelmed by the choice available, and can’t visualise the finished space. If any of these sound like you (and me!) then head over to Zoe’s stand and book a free consultation. It could be the start of a whole new look.

Free Interior Design Consultation

Does your home need redecorating, but you don’t know where to start? If you need ideas and inspiration to transform your home from drab to fab, take advantage of this unique opportunity to talk to Zoe in a free half hour consultation. Simply bring along photos of your problem room, book a slot, and take a seat on one of Zoe’s upcycled chairs while she dispenses professional design advice. You’ll be able to browse colour charts and take away written suggestions away to implement at home. Continue Reading →

Outlaw does Falmouth Week

Falmouth Week 7 – 16 August 2015

So…….we’re going to be on The Moor for the whole of Falmouth Week. Yippee!

Over 100,000 people pile into Falmouth during the course of the 9 days so we’ve got some great ideas up our sleeve.

We’ll kick off with our fabulous Food and Drink Festival from Saturday 8th – Monday 10th August and tickle your taste buds with delicious foodie treats, all washed down with strawberries and champagne.  Our amazing local food and drink producers will share their knowledge and their products to show you the best Cornwall has to offer.  Check out our cool summer vibe to the soundtrack of smooth summer sounds.

And then we’re into our pop up Summer Market – a 6 day celebration of all that is artisan and handmade.  From 11th to 16th August we’ll have a marquee full of the best local designer-makers and food and drink producers showcasing their amazing products.  Outside we’ll have kids activities, live music and delicious street food. The perfect place to while away an hour or two in the summer sun.

Applications to exhibit open on Friday, so if you’re a food or drink producer or a talented designer-maker we’d love to hear from you.

And if all you want to do is come and enjoy what’s on offer, then put the date in your diary – we’ll be waiting!

See you in August.
